In relation to situational and strategy video games, Allen Chi is also a great fan of chess. Growing up playing board games like Candy Land, Checkers, Parcheesi, and beyond, he became very interested in math, strategy, and critical thinking. As he got older, he learned to play chess with his brothers and father.
As a teen, Allen Chi helped organize and start a chess club for his high school which is still running strong today. Chess has impacted his life in many ways both personally and socially. He met some of his closest friends playing chess and has gained valuable skills and experience to put towards his future career plans including paying attention to detail, ability to focus on the task at hand, ability to look ahead and think progressively, and much more.
